in Kunming was teahouse like you see in Chengdu, inside of
Wenmiao, called GaiwanCha , actually destroyed. (green tea was 4元 served in gaiwan).
In the 80s to early 2000s was many teahouses around the Bird and flower market. Nowadays all is just commercial shit there.
To see how beautiful teahouses was in Kunming , please buy book call 昆明茶馆 (Kunming teahouse) with many beautiful photos from the 80-90s period.
In Yunnan you can find teahouses mostly for local 'laotou' in places such as Weishan (near Dali). There have few teahouses serving tea in gaiwan for 2-5 yuan. In many other places you can find some teahouses like that , in Baoshan are some with 100+years history.
If you are interesting in teahouses and you are in Kunming , send me an message here. I do some research about teahouses and very like this tea culture.
I asked 3 fruit sellers why they offer only Mexico (50y kg, about 10y for piece) or Chilean (40y, about 7 for one) and they said the taste of avocados from Myanmar is not good, even is cheaper! I found the quality of Chilean is may best in carrefour, price 7.8 a piece...if price of Myanmar one is cheaper, hope I can find some during the seasson..
Salvador offered them for 16y a piece...
Yep, price is the same. Service is better, train look newer,
workers may look younger and more friendly (I take this train just 3 times to GZ and back)
Some good vendor for Myanmar avocados with reassonable price? Thanks

Chasing the Tea Horse Road in Pu'er
Posted byThe first information about trading tea and changing with horses in Yunnan is from 1661. Before this time, all the tea and horse changing was in Sichuan and Shaanxi prov. - the tea was heicha, Sichuan kang zhuan and Shaanxi fu, qing, hei and hua zhuan. But the first time was Song dynasty, the Tang dynasty is very wrong but yes, is often write in Chinese books.
During Qing dynasty, the quantity of tea transported by horses from Yunnan to Lhasa was very small. Most of the tea was sold and consumed in Lijiang, Shangrli La area. Only small amount was sent to Central Tibet.
The most popular time when really large quantity of puer tea - mostly mushroom shape or tuo shape, was in 1930.1940s. But at that time they already use short way crossing Myanmar, they used horses but also cars and trains.
Of course there was many another products transport from Yunnan or from Laos, there was also way to Beijing special for give top grade teas and other stuff to King. But the trading tea and changing with horses like in Sichuan and Shaanxi was not too old, just firs record is from 1661.
The Tea Horse Road, or Cha Ma Gu Dao is relative new name, start use in 1980s or early 1990s for just commercial things like tourism and promotion puer tea.
