The Catholic church in Dali was still "operating" a few years back with Father Larry (an American) there. If you know someone in Dali, get them to go and see if he is still in Dali.

Weekend that shouldn't be missed. Hopefully Kunming people will come out and support the local bands.
It will be a fantastic weekend.

"What goes around comes around". Shit, for your shitty partner, good
things ahead for a generous man like yourself.
Thanks Elliott for all the great times, steak nights, brunches and parties that kept us until the early mornings. Wonderful memories.
Missing the home delivery already!
Looking forward to your next venture. xxxxx

Interview: Québec Redneck Bluegrass Project
Posted byObviously Hugh, you didn't interview them before they had a drink.....
(I did warn you)...
I can't help but love these guys, and their wonderful sense of humour.
They all have a heart of gold, and enormous passion and energy for life.
I sure have many great memories of gigs, touring and just hanging out together.
Wishing them all the best on their tour, and hopefully some of the guys will come back to Kunming.

Jinning county disappearances possibly linked to slave labor
Posted byTruly sad this goes on.
Thanks Pat for bringing the kidnappings and slave labor to our attention.
Sometimes we forget the tragedies that are happening at our own doorstep.
I had a student whose brother was kidnapped. He was only 9yrs old. The kidnappers asked for a ransom, and my students family informed the police. Luckily the boy was returned without the ransom payed, unharmed.
