Finally. And with such gusto. That's the kind of rain I remember in Kunming from years back. I just rode my motorcycle from one end of the city to the other, through flooded streets, and it was awesome. All it takes is a little water to make a city feel alive again.
My wife was walking home alone in this shit, getting drenched, and a young woman randomly sidled up to her and offered to share her umbrella. Awesome.
Cursing at the sky for rain finally worked!
Totally agree, sheltered for a short while in a tiny restaurant at the side of the road with a bunch of soaked locals who were not one bit discontent to be drenched from head to toe as we all were.
As the place began to fill up we all decided to order some food and had a whole meal while the rain was going on getting to know one another along the way, pleasantly full and energised we all got on our respective forms of transport, which just happened to be two wheeled and headed out into the 街湖 as we had decided to call it.
Stood up out of the saddle the whole way home on my bicycle and just hammed through all the puddles and whatever else was floating around, good times.
You may all thank me, the God of Rain for this luxurious downpour. I decided to wash and wax the car this morning...et voila...
Yay!
Let the rainy season begin, finally..
Has anyone else noticed that it has started raining heavily ever since crazy.laowai's scooter has gone missing?
Such a nice rain.
Anyway today the weather became little bit chill, got few goosebumps in the lunch time.
Does anyone know of a website/newsite that gives regular updates of the water level in Yunnan water dams?
