laotou of course i can see that peace is not the answer otherwise we wouldn't have been spending millenniums keep doing the same thing called war (actually enlightened guys such as locke for example stated that people are entitled to do revolutions with army if they are under oppression).
but the recipe for a society are often not the same as the recipe for individuals,so my question is:
if your country/ethnic group/community would ask you to kill your wife/sons/parents/girlfriend for them (like the bible story of isaac and abraham for example) instead of just kill a so called "enemy" would you do it?
how far can your sense of belonging to a group or your obedience go?
please don't use realpolitik to answer but just what YOU really think...

hfcampo I understand what you mean but you know i don't use this account very often and to login to the correspondent google one i'm required to verify, re-input my mobile phone, receive a code etc i personally don't agree to this policy that is more and more common to email, social network and so on, i think it's time consuming and goes exactly in the opposite direction of preventing spam..but i respect your point, guys hope to meet you somewhere in town, it seems we could have an interesting conversation, sorry not tonight cos I got different plans..

to be honest i don't think so because it's a delicate question that may cause tension among people who meet for the first time...a forum seems more appropriate and free

Forums > Living in Kunming > How are Black-Aqmericans treated?

As always people tends to go off topic on these forum, maybe they are just bored or angry for something...
So mightymouse i can tell you in km i've seen many black guys/girls teaching english, native and non, actually talking about primary school being black might be even an advantage because kunmingers basically think multicolor is multicultural...so u plan to stay 6 months 1 year in china, if you want a part time job just search private primary schools, everywhere there are ad included on gokm, the real problem you might encounter is the low salary and lack of management/ incompetence (this one is really a km peculiarity) that often brings your class to be canceled...good luck!

@ fixit the best way to burn a potential talented player is to let him play in the wrong position. the coach is the one who has the experience to choose the best position for everyone in the team. imagine every player having the authority to decide where and when to play, do you think that would be the most effective way? everybody is a genius at something but nobody is a genius at everything.

@fixit a good teacher is like a good father, he guides the student and let him find his way. every kid has some ability and lacks others, failing is also a way to let the student focus on something he is better at. imagine you are a football coach, a player is good in defense but he dreams to be a top striker, what kind of training would you design for him? the good world is the one where everybody can give his contribution according to his skill/ability, everyone is a genius at something.

i dont think it s bad planning, there are so many people in china that every new hub is welcome. think about spring festival where everything is congested. guilin kunming also can help tourism. by subway in 45 minutes passengers can get to nan pin jie, not bad.

This article is not reporting what really happened. The tourists signed a contract where they bought a "1 renminbi tour" including food, accomodation and visit to dali, lijiang, sichuanbanna and other destinations but the package required to spend from 3000 to 4000 yuan in shopping. Once in the locations the tourists refused to buy goods, on the bus the tour guide insulted them (she gets payed according to the money tourists spend in shopping) and one passenger took a video of her delivering it to the media.
Just an abuse case from multiple sides...
