Great, thanks for the info Wendy! Btw it's KeLe Village (yes, like Coke!) not KeKe. There is nothing really at KeLeCun yet.. just a station in the middle of farmland haha, no doubt it will get developed in the next 5 years or so. More subway lines are badly needed for Kunming to develop, we can't all drive everywhere all the time.

@Haali
You're so right.

This city does need more subway lines.

Line 5 is still under construction and I've heard that more have been approved.

I have to think back on what's happened in the last 10 years.

While Kunming has built and opened 5 lines, back in Toronto where I came from they've been talking about more lines for 10 years with nothing being done.

Kunming has made a lot of progress in a relatively short time.

This is great for those of us with older real estate near the subway lines. Should drive our home prices up another 20% or more, over the next few years.

Glad to have a subway stop near (but not TOO near) my home.

thanks for sharing those Tiger, the line 5 map is interesting as it shows the intersections with other lines, present and future. It's a shame that the subway wasn't around when I lived in that area, would have made certain journeys much quicker and easier. Oh well!

I think the extension of line 6 from the east bus station to Beijing Lu may soon be completed as well.

Work along Tuodong Lu looks near completion.
