To avoid hijacking another thread I started this one.
Yes it happens a lot on every forum. Perhaps goes with the territory.

On the good side it can lead to new interesting/important discussions.
On the bad side it can swamp out the original topic, which may also have been interesting/important. It also makes things harder to find later down the road.
On the ugly. You can get trolls who divert/pervert every topic onto their own pet grandstanding position/topic.

On other forums the moderators actually split topics. I am not sure if this facility is currently available to the mods on GoKunming.
Alternatively, with a little thought, people can start new threads. Leading to a more navigable and manageable forum.

I now await my flaming, with buttocks exposed to the elements.

I agree Australia had a bad history. The mid 70s was 40 years ago. Since then there have been a lot of anti racist and discrimination laws passed. Australia was late to the party, but have worked hard since.
I am not being an apologist here. You find discrimination and racism in every country (ethic cleansing is alive and well) but some countries have moved on, Australia included.

I have seen lots of these bikes around. I have yet to use any.
From what I can see, you scan the QR code on the bike, which unlocks it. I assume you scan again to re-lock it. I assume billing is by Wechat.
It looks like you don't need to find a bike park, and I assume that the location of the bike is known from the location data from the phone that scans the QR code.

A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.



Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.



In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.

They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.

They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.
