Forums > Living in Kunming > Covid case in Panlong?

The university's are proactively doing a 21 day lockdown at the start of the semester as their students all came from a variety of provinces just in case one came with the virus it won't spread to the community.

I use wise.com to transfer money into China. My personal situation is a string of short term student visas so the bank won't allow me to open account that allows the 1 thing I want (receiving international funds) so I transfer to my friends account and they forward the money to me.

I also have the same problem, well not the bed bugs, but the need for a laundromat. I searched for laundry (洗衣店) on baidu and all I can find are places that charge per item. My load is going to cost ¥450!!

Is the best option to just go to a hostel and see if I can use their machines for ¥10-¥15 as if I am staying there?

The upland is ¥10 for a wash (plus ¥1 for detergent), ¥10 per half hour of dryer

The hump is ¥15 for a wash including detergent, no dryer.

I've checked all the other threads and it seems like a stock standard self service or wash by the kilogram service doesn't exist? There's a thousand of them in Shanghai so you'd think there'd be a few here.

Forums > Living in Kunming > Any marathons in Yunnan in November/December?

You download a run tracker app like Strava, Mi Fit or Runkeeper and use the GPS in that to track your run. This does mean you will need to run with your phone on you or a GPS enabled smart watch.

It looks like the SCO marathon Michael posted will be providing their own application for the run. Will have to wait for them to actually provide details though. Guessing their app might provide real time updates to spectators so friends and family can follow along and see how you're tracking.
