Finally got around to using Salvador's delivery service - tried it out on the chicken burrito and their bag of nacho chips. Delivery was flawless despite being a bit out of area (≥4km) and the food was still warm.

First experience - excellent (5 stars).

Excellent as always - even with long distance delivery. Now if only the online menu was expanded a little (like the chicken strips...hint hint hint...nudge nudge...wink wink).

I became a vegetarian last year, and Sal's has been great for me. Some of my favorite dishes are the Mediterranean quesadilla, the falafel plate, huevos rancheros, the muesli bowl, and the avocado and beet sandwich. They're all killer.

In my experience, most of the staff are familiar with words on the menu, but if you get off it for special requests, it can be a bit trickier. There's usually at least one or two staff members on each shift who can handle more complicated English stuff.

In general, the wait staff has always been professional and friendly, even when busy.

It is a decent western restaurant, but I just feel it could be better. It is hard to put my finger on it, but food while good, isn't great. Nothing there really wows me. That said, I do regularly dine there.

I think where it misses the 5th star is, that the price doesn't quite meet the pretty good (yet not great quality food), and the generally horrendous service.

The staff doesn't really speak "waiter English", and often little things like bing shui are forgotten about completely. If anything goes wrong, it is really a challenge to communicate the problem with the staff.

This isn't meant to disparage Salvador's, but more attention to a few details could really up the quality of Sal's from pretty good to great.

Sir Chibbles is right! Sal's keeps on rockin year in and year out. Pumpkin soup with a jalapeño is king for killin those winter blues!

Pretty surprised no reviews in so long. It may be because everyone has come to expect consistency and class from this place. I have seldom seen a restaurant overseas that retains good employees for so long, which is a testament to management and teamwork.
The food is obviously one of the major consistencies too - good, solid standards and nice new takes on others. Still also a nice, early evening watering hole.

The fact that at least one of the owners is there the vast majority of the time, helping newcomers or oddly enough repairing computers, still amazes me.
