- Kunming orders English added to outdoor signs
On the last sign ("nothing is possible"), the focus invariably falls on the handwritten mobile number and the word "办正" (forged licences) at the upper-right corner... As is typically seen on all kinds of outdoor posters, signs and other public places (such as men's room) nowadays.
What's even more comical is that the guy used the wrong character "正" (meaning correct or straight) instead of "证" (licence or certificate).

IT Carrier are Secular... I truly look forward to all kinds of similarly ridiculous street signs and the entertainment that they bring. XD

- Kunming stunned by cafe bombing
According to the 2nd link provided, the explosion was caused by improper handling of a gas tank... The deceased was the same guy who brought the tank into Salvador's and accidentally made it explode

Forums > Living in Kunming > Downloadweb, worth the money?
I agree with laotou, however... supposedly due to the recent tightening of copyright measures, illegitimate software and media have been systematically removed from the above-mentioned web sites. For example, in the past I was able to download the newest version of Photoshop, MS Office etc. from VeryCD which worked perfectly; nowadays, it's no longer possible. The same goes for Youku, when I tried to search for some Hollywood film there all I got were trailers.
Among the alternatives, I'd suggest that you download the official version of eMule (NOT the VeryCD version) and search away! Due to the many network issues peculiar to China, the download speed may leave much to be desired; then you can simply: Copy the ED2K link in eMule - Open up Thunder (迅雷) - Create new download, so that you'll be able to obtain downloads from both the BitTorrent network and the eMule network simultaneously... effectively doubling, or even tripling the incoming data flow.
The only concern with this may be the ethical issue, since Thunder has been labelled by the P2P community as a leech... Not that it concerns me much, though.

The same console shops should be where you can make an enquiry. Once the boss of the abovementioned shop asked me whether I grew tired of the PSP 3000, in which case he'd be willing to buy it back second-hand.
Or you may wanna try Ganji (the biggest web site for selling and buying of second-hand stuff, that I know of); beware though, the deals are completely 'tween individuals themselves and there's no guarantee of any sort by the site itself.

I dunno if you've tried Caisheng Alley (财盛巷)? It's a small fork that extends from Mid Renmin Rd (人民中路) close to the Qinnian Rd (青年路)-Mid Renmin Rd crossing. This is (one of) the main area(s) where numerous print shops are gathered: http://ditu.google.cn/[...]
Or you may just wanna try Jinlun Digital Graphics and Documents (金伦数码图文); they are pretty big and have lots of branches in the city and definitely able to fulfill your needs. I haven't found much info online so you should try to ring 114!
