When I was entering the subway on Saturday I noticed the police officer at the entrance getting ready with a pen to record my information on a log sheet at her desk. When I showed the green screen she nodded and put the pen down.
In the early days of the virus there were also people on buses taking info from the seniors who did not have smart phones.
I get BOC online banking in English, but it only works (at the moment) on IE, which is no longer supported by Microsoft.
If the OP is referring to a mobile app I can well imagine it being Chinese only.
What I find more disturbing now with BOC is that they are now installing so many "Intelligent ATMs" in the branch and doing away with people.
Unlike the old ATMs, the new ones do not have an English option, and for some reason are all within the branch, while old machines in the 7/24 service area are often out of service.
Foreign visitors are only going to be short term, rather than guests simply because the new visa regulations have shortened the amount of time visitors can stay in China.
I'm beginning to believe that the general population here is either not concerned with food safety or has no concept of it.
Yesterday while walking up Longquan Lu, we passed a man butchering a pig - in the middle of the (dirty) sidewalk in front of his restaurant.
Had my first ever visit to Slice of Heaven last night for a group party. Barbara recognized me as a newcomer and immediately came to welcome me and introduce herself.
While speaking with her at the counter, a server walked past with a pizza for one table. The aroma immediately caught my attention. It was awesome.
Our group shared 4 different pizzas. All were amazing. I think the sauce really makes the difference since it was very flavourful. I also put back to cups of cappuccino. I guess they must have fixed problems noted in other reviews because I found it to be quite good.
If I lived closer I would be a regular here.
