I am an actual African, of British stock. No one in their right mind would claim to be Zimbabwean if they weren't.
It's strange as it was the war that made me a Zimbabwean, as British servicemen were offered land in Rhodesia after the war.
Now, I won't take you up on the offer, as meeting strangers from forums is a shore way to end up locked in a sound proof basement. However if we should ever meet I'd be more than happy to show you my Zim passport or slap you in the face with it, depending on the topic of conversation at the time.
What I saw today was a parade involving 30 countries many of which were your European neighbours, hosted in China.
China as the host presented the most military hardware, but why shouldn't it, very few countries in the world could do that and if you are one then why not show it off?
There was no 'we won the war single handedly' every allied force was represented and respected. The GMT got their mentions but the focus was on the CCP-Japan battles, but that's how things go. Let's not nit pick as how many American war films depict the Americans in unaccuate situations.
There was a fly past, there was all that you hoped there would be in your first post.
It seemed you pulled your trigger before the parade had got underway and shot yourself in the foot.
It was classy it was professional and we can add China to a very short list of countries that are capable of putting on a show (Mine and yours couldn't compete with today)
The Chinese suffered under Japanese rule, let's not brush things under the carpet, Let's not shake hands and forget the whole thing, many people who suffered are still alive.
I know it's not possible to you to think positively on the forum and perhaps there was a touch of sour grapes as Churchill gave your fella a hiding and as such Angela Merkel didn't get an invite.
Just be thankful that after Germany had all their toys taken off them, like Japan you focused on cars, electronics and weird porn and were able to give yourselves a stable economy at the expense of world domination.
I quite enjoyed the day and they always say that a day like this does wonders for the economy, like the royal weddings and July 1st etc.
Here we go. Do you not remember the state of this website last time, every subject no matter how unrelated was hijacked by Americans arguing about who they would vote for.
Didn't see you do the same for the Zimbabwean elections.
We would have had a necklacing on the tarmac and had to find two new tyres for the plane. At least a good time would have been had by all while we wated.

A look at Yunnan's evolving anti-drug strategy
Posted byFalling down the stairs is less dangerous than falling off a cliff. I would prefer neither fall.
What's dangerous is saying that some drugs are better than others, when no drugs are better than all drugs.
The only people who would push this line of thought would be drug dealers.

If carrying a bank card around is too much for you then chances are there's probably not an awful lot to withdraw from your account.
