Does any one know the easiest way to get a India visa in Kunming?

I don't think that link actually allows you apply online, only to fill in the application form online, print it off and then go to an Embassy etc etc..

I got my Indian visa from Chiang Mai (some years ago), which seem to be the closest option as the bird flies, but perhaps not the most practical unless you want to, or plan to, stop-over in Thailand.

I have got an Indian visa in Thailand before and also in Beijing ... I was wondering what kids do in Kunming?

@Ocean, yes, the website does not allow you to apply on line, but it does have all the instructions on HOW to apply.

The closest Indian consulate in China would be Shanghai, so Chiang Mai is much closer. On the other hand, there are many more flights per day to and from Shanghai so it may be possible to avoid a hotel stay.

If you are a Chinese national, you must approach one of the 3 Indian Visa Centres in China. If you are a resident of Kunming/Yunnan, you must apply at Guangzhou Visa Centre.
