So I ate this great 铺盖面 Pū gài miàn in Chongqing. Any in Kunming?

when I read your words, I can't help laughing. I think Pu gai Mian is similiar with gai mian here. It's easier to find it in small restaurants.

@stephendu. Do you know of a restaurant here that serves the square blanket sheet noodles like in the picture in Kunming? I hate waiting to go to Chengdu or Chongqing to get my fix.

I had the big square noodles a few times at the Nationalities Village. It was in a "village" not far from the entrance. The little kitchen sold to the girls working there. Really good and the only place in KM I ever had them. With my 老年人卡 I got into the village free. Took a lot of photos of the girls and gave them prints then sat down to lunch with them. Delicious!

Thanks Geezer, but dang it, I can't get in for free. Oh well, just gotta wait till I hit up Sichuan again.
