There are delivery type ebikes, that could carry 2 or 3 sets of spare batteries, and your gear. You would just need additional chargers to charge overnight.
Given that the Chinese students' primary/main English teachers are always Chinese they get the full on instruction. We should not forget that the role of the foreign English teacher is supplementary, an addition to the 'drill and kill' of rote learning (important for grammar and vocab/reading and writing), providing listening and speaking to a real person in a live setting.
Regulations in China also require that imported English teachers have a TESOL/TEFL qualification. In other words they do have a qualification in teaching English. I hear said that in some provinces/municipalities online TEFL certs. are no longer accepted.
Agree about the nest prep thing. Many parents would expect this, before they allow the daughter to marry the guy. Otherwise it may be assumed he will be a bad provider.
There is a more recent trend of 'marrying naked'. Where a woman with her own financial security (job or family) will marry a man with less economic power, for love. With so many young Chinese able to find a spouse, this shift in social attitudes makes sense.
Not sure I agree with daughters staying closer. In my wife's family the old value that a married daughter is part of her husbands family still holds (a bit like chattel). In that respect a daughter may be seen as less of a financial burden, as they won't need to be married off with a house and car.
In divorce, the daughters usually go to the mother and the sons go to the father. Although the father's may be expected to help with an estranged daughter's education. If the father remarries, old age and funeral costs are usually the responsibility of his new family unit, especially if he has children with the new wife.
In reality there will be lots of old models, because China is so diverse, and new models; as China is rapidly changing socially, culturally, and economically.
Sorry, 150/hr.
I still think that there are a lot of English teachers earning less than 140K
total. package, as many small language schools do not offer flights or accommodation. Although some places do offer opportunities for lots of overtime.

Great to know it is no longer dry.
Good review BTW
This has moved.
The cut flowers are about 700m east on Duonan Jie. The plants and trees are about 700 m west and follow Duocai Section.
A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.
Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.
In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.
They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.
They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.

Posted by@Yereth, I can see the logic of what you are doing. However, there are only very few very long ads, and I often still want to scan/skim these, which I cannot do.
Overall I am no just not doing this as click and wait is not my style.
I may be alone but I don't think so.

Posted byA couple of things I noticed navigating.
1. In the comments section, I see oldest first, this requires me to click on the latest page number, another action required by the reader.
Can it be set to newest at top? Is this just my browser settings?
2. When I click to look at classifieds, I get a list of cropped ads. I need to click on each one to see full text. and then click to go back. Before I was able to scroll through all the complete ads, which was much easier and faster, even if I was scrolling past some ads. For me the ads are now less user friendly. I used to just skim though them, and occasionally I would make an impulse buy. Now, this is less likely.

Thanks to the GoK team, all.
I will also echo @Geezer, the grey font is hard to read, and a bit small for comfort if I was to read for a long time.
