If your visa says Dec 11, that is the last day you can be here. You must leave before midnight on Dec 11.

Be careful when applying for an extension, as it is valid from date of application/issue. If you apply a week early, you lose that week.

You can, I believe, apply for an extension on the last day as once the application is being processed you are covered. Make sure not to turn up at 5pm if you do this, in case of missing paperwork/photo/photocopies (does happen).

If you need to book cheap flights now, I would ere on the side of caution and book tickets a couple of days before you think you have to.

I would also have a back up plan in case I did not get the second extension.

Does Dali also include accommodation, or anything else, in the fees?
Is the visa fee included?

If not then they are price gouging. But you may not have an alternative.

Q2 Visa is issued to those who intend to visit their relatives who are Chinese citizens residing in China or foreigners with permanent residence in China. The intended duration of stay in China is no more than 180 days.

S2 Visa is issued to those who intend to visit their family members who are foreigners working or studying in China, or to those who intend to go to China for other private matters. The intended duration of stay in China is no more than 180 days.

"Family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law.

A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.



Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.



In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.

They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.

They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.
