Anyone have information or experienece in getting a covid 19 test for international air travel?

From what I can tell, I need a 3 day before departure test that the airline will accept and english translated version of results.

Info on where to get the test, how long it takes to get results, and if they provide an english version would be appreciated.

I don't really want to travel right now, but I might have too.

I called all three listed hospitals today. All had the same response, that I had to call 114 and get in touch with the Kunming Foreign Affairs Office. After speaking to someone in the department responsible for the vaccine rollout, they said at this time I would not be able to get either the first dose or second dose in Kunming as a foreigner. They don't have any foreseeable plans to offer another round either. The only route to getting vaccinated in Kunming is these two windows at those three hospitals. Private or other hospitals are not an option.

My only option it seems is to find somewhere in China that is not Kunming, like other parts of Yunnan or other provinces that will allow me to get a shot there.

If anyone has information regarding getting the COVID-19 vaccine shot outside of Kunming, I would appreciate it.

Do not miss your 2nd shot!

I just found out that the windows are once only for Kunming.

I missed my first shot and from the information I have gathered since is if you miss a window as a foreigner, you are screwed.

There is no other route to get a jab in Kunming jurisdiction and no for seeable plans to offer another round of windows for foreigners.

I am glad these grottoes haven't been looted. I visited the Unesco grottoes at Luoyang. Many of the heads of the buddhas missing and sometimes the whole thing just carved out.

I was in Chongqing when Bo cleaned up the streets. Prior, there were some passages completely clogged up and pedestrians were forced into ever tighter paths (Chongqing is like 20 million people). On passages I used to cross all the time, I thought how unfair and annoying these vendors were. So after Bo cleaned up the city including getting rid of street vendors, pedestrian flow was 10x better. However, I then realized how boring the streets became. Everyone had more space and less stress walking around, but some charm did disappear. I hope this proposal works, as the perfect solution would be to trade off a little space in an organized and fair fashion, but as this is Kunming, expectations are pretty low.

If only there was a vaccine coming shortly. It's a tougher bug than HIV since at least with virology we have had past successes. A vaccine against a parasite with different life cycles inside the human host is proving immensely more difficult.

However, this methodology is too rigorous to help poor children in Africa (whom malaria primarily kills). But it's some progress on a disease that has been plaguing and killing humans since the times of the Pharaohs.

Never gotten sick once at Sals. Their food is TexMex, so yeah, not authentic Mexican food, but pretty authentic as TexMex goes. Burrito wrap has improved a lot. Like the draft beer option now.

If you haven't had dairy products in a while, and do eat here, best forgo the sour cream. Nothing wrong with it, in fact it's the best sour cream in Kunming, but if you've eaten Chinese for month or months with no dairy intake, your system will react to sour cream or probably any liquid dairy product not so well. Maybe that's what happened with nailer and tallamerican.



Update:

It's now 5 working days for regular processing. So I submitted my application a bit before 5pm on a Friday and was told to pick it up next week Friday after 5pm.

Cost is now 400rmb for a single 30 day entry. Or that was what I was charged anyways. There are no posted prices and its cash only with no receipt except for your passport pickup. That's like $65 USD.

You can pay another 150rmb for 2 day or 100rmb for 3 day processing. For 400rmb, they should process it in three days like they used to before, but now you'd pay 500rmb. The office is still like deserted most of the time, so why does it take longer now and cost extra. If you opted for 2 day, thats like $90 usd. All other neighboring countries charge like $25usd.

The rest of and cope review is still good for hours and location.



Far out, less people. Big enough to get lost in. Pretty and quiet near dusk. 20yuan entrance fee.

Like everyone else says, best Indian food in Kunming. They have lunch plates and dinner plates. Show up before 1pm for lunch.

They are on the 4th floor of the half empty shopping mall. Best way is too take the elevator past the KFC around the corner from Starbucks.

Most individual dishes can feed only two hungry guys, so order more if you are starving. Naan order can take care of one only.



Five stars for the food. Go with Yereth's recommendations, plus any vegetable the waitress says is fresh.

Beware that Xue Fu lu is one way, so many taxis have to take a roundabout way to get here.
