GoKunming gets a shout out since recently we complained about how lots of local events were left out of the Calendar section. Well, they listened and added some. I think that deserves a thanks.

Posted byThe roads near Tengchong are ruined by the sheer number of trucks carrying logs. You can tell the trade is one way, as the side of the road coming from Burma is much worse than the direction heading back. Heavy laden trucks in; empties back for more jade or timber.

Posted byThose neighborhoods have the least guangxi and probably pay the low or subsidized rates. I live right across a major street from one of those, but in a modern highrise. Will be interesting to see if my water flows unabated while they get reduced pressure. If so, would be completely unfair.
