Beijing and Xinning in 2003, loads of bicycles, pig carcasses carted around in 3 wheeled bicycles.
Beijing airport was a scammers paradise...my friend paid 2000rmb to collect his luggage.
I paid 200 rmb for a taxi ride..

Kunming 2006.

Hanging onto cars and taxis while on bicycle(courier style) i could travel most of Renmin Lu faster than traffic..

Few Cars but gridlock would ensue with a minor fender bender.
Parking everywhere.

Santana was a luxury car.

Performance bicycles were rare imports...most bicycle were single speed with squeaky hub brakes.

Dali old town.2007.

Few vehicles....
I could land my paraglider, tandem, on the main road in front of 3 pagodas..

No paraglider experience is required, just healthy.

Presently housing developments are way overvalued.

The results from constrution companies bidding to get a certain plot of land and the increased cost passed on to the consumer/ end buyer/ leasee.
The increase in housing cost is not a result of demand however the investors and speculators blindly dive in.

what will happen when the trend starts downward??? the speculators get out (cash in) untill the trend goes up again

It's a clasic bubble.

In my opinion the ongoing / deepening western crisis will be the trigger, when the sovereign debts cant be repaid ( Greece ) the lenders holdings will be devalued.

the only way china can get away from it is time, presently china is amassing vast amounts of gold....the next world currency this will be the buffer to devaluation.
