@HFCAMPO, my other post can give you some info.
Chinese healthcare system is totally different from many other western countries, also the medical insurance. When I just got in US, i was confused on how to see a doctor. I believe, you guys, as foreigners, may have the same feeing in China as I was in US when you want to see a doctor. I am working in a big international hospital, Kunming. If you have any healthcare questions, please leave on this thread or shot me a private message, I would love to help if possible.
@yankeeoo, yeah, good idea, but it seems the old post can not be edited.
@Peter99, etc., I am workig at a hospital and doing management in the northern part of Kunming. I am Chinese and ever worked abroad for a couple years. I saw the Chinese oversea have no any worries on communication while seeing doctors because those hospitals provide professional interpreters, and medical interpretation is a formal job over there. But in China, few hospitals would hire and pay interpreters even more and more international patients come in.
Fortunately, we already found a coupe Chinese doctors who would be volunteering interpreters to help the foreign patients, but they still need training on English speaking.
We have to start with a Non-profit organization or group, all the members are volunteers. But if we can see any possibilties to develop business,we may reconsider our mode of service.
@culture, sorry, no pay at this moment, but later, if business developed, we may consider to charge for our service and pay our interpreters.
