Look geezer. I am just going to chalk this up to a heated misunderstanding on both of our parts. I hope we can move past this.

"I do agree with you that trying to bounce bullets or shot is a bad idea."
Wow so now you are agreeing with me, because that is what I have been saying all along.
I don't see the reason why you felt the need to rip into me like you just did. I think we actually agree more than it seems.
As for how many people got shot. 5 people got shot and 4 of them died of the wounds.
"But i am sure you do not care."
You are right about that. But Loutou seems to agree with me.
I am attacking their opinions because they are propogating hollywood fantasy that most likely would have got more people killed if the police had taken that course of action.
If someone dissagrees with me that is fine. But saying I KNOW is not a valid argument.

Are you seriously suggesting that the training could be taught without existing in the first place??? Now I know you are trolling, and I am done with the path this discussion has taken.
Geezer:
Not to sound like an ass but the terror attack that was the original topic of this thread is a perfect example of why an assailant might be in a crowd of innocent bystanders.
In this situation you want to take high percentage shots, ie to the torso. That way you decrease the chance of hitting innocent bystanders and increase the chance of stopping the attacker.
These terrorists were committed to doing as much damage as they could. Simply trying to slow them down with tactics developed for a completely different situation probably would have resulted in more casualties.
Also consider that the targets may not have been crowded together and the fact that they were moving around. Those factors alone would make it much harder for an average police officer to hit a limb(ricocheted or not).
He says the training exists but is unwilling to back up his claim. Then says it was "taught" but not "trained." I find it very suspicious when people claim something to be true but are unwilling to source their information. I do not accept claims from anyone on blind faith.
