Anyone try this place on Minhang Lu?
I have very stiff sore leg muscles, which relly hinder walking. Would this be a good place to soak my sore muscles in
hot water and get some therapeutic massage? (Not "happy" massage) .`
Thanks in advance.

Poke around on the net and you can find audio book versions of BLOWBACK, at, eg., kat.cr
Is there anyone in Kunming who makes shoes to order? It's not too hard to find a tailor who makes clothes to fit, especially if you don't insist on up-to-the-moment fashions.
If you want audio books, www.uvulaaudio.com/books.html has mp3 of both SHADOW OUT OF TIME and AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS. Probably lots of other audio book versions out there, too. Try librivox.org, if you can get around the great fire wall.
Which bus goes there from University Town subway station?
No results found.
I've stayed here many times over the years and been very satisfied. Central location, comfortable rooms, reasonable prices. Some might mind the noise from the Bad Monkey Bar across the street, but I've always been able to sleep. The staff is very helpful with bus tickets, excursion tickets and the like.
Does anyone know if this is still a going concern? Or destroyed by the fire?
One of my favorite places in Jing Hong! It's my landmark, the center of the hotel, restaurant, bike, etc., area. I discovered dark Beer Lao there!
But getting to the S. bus station takes another hour....
Battle between rival mines leaves nine dead, 48 injured
Posted byFighting between rival groups of miners was common in the 19th century. The famous Panthay Revolt (1856=1873) began that way.
American conservative group makes inroads into China's classrooms
Posted byThat's all find, Yunzhe, but you won't get what you want from Focus on the Family or any of the US born-again fanatic groups. It's not as if born-agains in the US have lower divorce rates, etc.

Someone like Dobson.
I'm old enough to remember when Southern Baptists included White supremacy as a *BIG* part of their Gospel. I remember lynching, too. It was curiously popular in those regions were Southern Baptists were very common. The usual offence: being Black and too successful.

Posted byFrankly, the US has a lot to learn from Confucian morality.
American conservative group makes inroads into China's classrooms
Posted byBBC World Service recently did a two part documentary on Christianity in China. Apparently some of the national level leaders have been suckered into believing that there's some kind of connection between Protestantism and development/wealth/power. The loathsome Health&Wealth Gospel is just a step away!
Lots of educated Chinese people are quite blind to the flaws and problems of US life.
