Has anyone had recent experience getting apple computers repaired here in Kunming? I'd appreciate a name and location of repair shop and what kind of experience you had.
Thanks

@dr.chibbles & @debaser; thanks for your responses. I'm a little more confident in the ovens now.
As to the Asahi beer, what and where is Mu Yu, a bar or restaurant?

debaser; I know about the email address. Thank you.
When Apple went to the cloud they changed the @mac.com to me.com or iCloud.com. So I can be reached at either of those, i.e. "redmoon43@me.com".

I'm looking for Asahi beer, to buy and take away. I know a few restaurants in town that sell it but can't find it at any of the obvious places, i.e. Wal-mart, Carrefour, Metro or Wangfujing. Let me know if you've seen it somewhere. Thanks.
And this is presumably addressed to the ladies although you cooking type guys might know too. I've been looking at countertop ovens. You know, Changdi, Tomato and Galanz all make them. The Galanz looks the better of the three but I'd like to have some first hand opinions. One thing that bothers me about these ovens is it seems like the door doesn't fit very snug so I wonder how efficient they are. Can they really get the temperature up to 350-375 degrees F and maintain it?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

There are many music shops on the west side of Xichang lu between Jinbi lu/Xiba lu and Renmin/Chunhui lu. Also, the next street over, parallel to Xichang lu (to the west) there are many more. I'm sure someone there can direct you to a "fixit shop" Good luck.

A group of four of us (two Chinese and two Americans) decided to try this restaurant as we'd heard so much good about it. "What a fantastically dreadful place", my only response. One of our Chinese partner's pasta came with the "complimentary two inch human hair gracing the top of her plate". When she pointed it out to the server he called the manager over who reached in with her fingers, removed the hair then walked away. When my friend protested the manager became demonstrably annoyed (poor thing had her wine drinking and smoking interrupted) and finally provided a new plate (we think) of pasta for her.
So where was the owner of this establishment? Give this place a pass, stay home and make your own pasta. You'll be much happier. The food is very common and the service is atrocious. I give it one year max before it's out of business.
