So far this is simply a conversation, basically about 'what if?'. But I want to interject now that 'naming names' is something we at GoKunming have no way of verifying, and therefore can't support.

Salvador's often has them, as mentioned above, and the fruit stand on Hongshan Dong Lu (虹山东路) next to the Anquan Xincun bus stop (安全新村站) always has imported Mexican avocados.

The Market All Day Dining Restaurant
Had the buffet here recently. A bit expensive but discounts are available for groups. Seafood, including crab, lobster and sushi were all fantastic. European and Chinese dishes were great as well. Beer was included with dinner. Overall, excellent service and food.

Jiaji Dumpling Restuarant
Excellent dumplings for omnivores, vegetarians and carnivores. This is a hole in the wall joint with no frills, but the owners are friendly and the dumplings are just right. Five stars if they get higher quality vinegar.

Posted byWe are getting conflicting reports from organizers about what days are open to the public. The final day of the event, November 15, will definitely be open to visitors.
Tickets available at the gate cost 30 yuan.
Bus number 225 gets you there.
I'm guessing the food will not be wonderful.
Getting Away: Jiaozi Snow Mountain
Posted byIt appears the Jiaozi Mountain Dedicated Tourist Road (轿子山旅游专线) and Road X002 are the same stretch, and will take you from north Kunming all the way to the scenic area.
