I'm looking for a service similar to this: www.rackspace.com/cloud/sites/web-hosting/wordpress/

It's fully updated and managed pre-installed word press server. The only problem is that RackSpace doesn't offer this product at their Hong Kong data center. We want our site to be as fast as possible on the mainland without actually having to get the ICP license to host on the mainland. Generally this means hosting in HK.

Any recommendations on a similar sort of product that is reliable, reasonably priced and located in HK with good connectivity?

I try to avoid plugging other websites, as it is a bit impolite.

However, I found vendors or service providers in HK by posting a relevant question on the asiaxpat.com website, on the 'tech and gadget talk' forum. People in HK will tell you where they go. They seem to be a very tech savvy bunch in the HK membership.

I just figured out why you avoid plugging other websites. I just registered and bumped an old hosting thread with a message similar to what I originally posted here asking if anybody had any updated recommendations.

A few minutes later I get this in my email:

"Your account has been suspended for 7 days for placing unacceptable content on the AsiaXPAT forums. Once the 7 day suspension has expired your email account will be removed from the banned list and you may re-register with that email and continue using the forums."

Screw them.

That will be complying with the Chinese censors.
