For KM newbies, HYD is a grocery cum department store. They've finally pushed me over the ranting edge today with their intolerable and fraudulent packaging schemes.
Last year - we bought off-brand kleenex tissues. When we opened the first box - we discovered the tissues inside were half sized although similarly priced (not 50% cheaper though). That ticked me off.
Today - I bought some instant noodles - same packaging and brand as last year - although puffed with air - standard fare for Kunming because of the altitude (or so I thought). Opened the package for a quick snack and voila - the noodles were HALF the size of the wrapping - and HALF the size of the usual package - again not 50% cheaper though.
Guess I'm now stuck with Walmart until the Carrefour opens up around the corner (coming soon!...yay). HYD is on our grocery store blacklist.
So - HYD buyers beware (caveat emptor) of packaging that obscures the contents. You may be in for a rude surprise.
