hello there , anybody knows when the new spidey movie will be released in China ?

Spider-Man: Homecoming premiered

June 28, 2017 and in theaters July 7.

A sequel to Homecoming is slated for 2019.

Probably august. July is China HK movie only month in theaters. Also, a risk it doesn't get released in theaters in China ever, as a couple years ago, the foreign action flix that had the misfortune to premiere during the july ban month, actually ended up being passed over totally.

I hope it won't be the case haha I saw on imdb that release in Japan is scheduled for august,no mention for China though.Anyway thks for the answers

On top of the July ban, there is a foreign film quota for the year that the movie has to contend with. However, I think it's safe. First it's not rated R. Second, Wanda should be a marketing partner, and they own a crap load of theatres in China. No clue why it opens so late in Japan. That's really strange. If you don't want to risk it, can make a weekend of a movie run to HK or Hanoi. I did that for Mad Max Fury Road :)

Perhaps the dubbing/subtitling into Japanese takes time.
