GoKunming Weekend Preview
Posted byI am looking forward to that game!
The Double Happyness Bar in Beichen is having a very big screen and I am going to watch the game there.
My guess: Germany - England 1:0 :-))
GoKunming Weekend Preview
Posted byGanesh seems to have been pretty rowdy at times with a strong English presence. Plus, the beer 套餐s they're offering are certainly not designed to discourage binge drinking. I think it's seven bottles of imported Australian beer for 100 kuai.
GoKunming Weekend Preview
Posted byThe England-Germany game should be quite the thriller. Can anyone who's been around to the different venues airing matches in Kunming recommend some places to go? Jerseys, binge drinking and loud cheering is preferred.
Been to the Hump and Ganesh so far but for a couple of minor games so still no idea which place to go for some genuine WC fever.
Getting away: Solitude Hill
Posted byThanks for the writeup. Does anyone know which bus station goes to Fuxian? (especially confusing since the switchup) Also, where does the bus stop? After getting off the bus to Fuxian lake, what is the best way to continue on to Sunshine Coast?
Thanks.

Kunming minimum wage to rise to 8 yuan/hour
Posted byThis is why I loving living in Kunming, the cost of living is cheap when compared to the U.S. A per hour rate of 8 yuan equals $1.17 U.S. per hour. I understand that for the locals, this is important, please don't misunderstand me. I am just stating that for someone like me from the U.S., living in Kunming is a better deal than the U.S. or other big cities in China.
Kunming minimum wage to rise to 8 yuan/hour
Posted byI often wonder why wages are negotiated as a percentage. This is ridiculous; 22% = 1 yuan!
Now, without any fanfare, the boss will increase his wage by 22%, even though his purchase of rice and vegetables cost the same.
After all, isn't this the reason for wage increases.
Please stop the world, I want to get off.
