When driving around the city with the car windows open, I often felt like I wish I had a face mask.
You'll be fine walking around off the main streets, but if you're stuck in traffic in downtown for a couple hours, you can definitely feel the pollution getting in your lungs. I could feel it making me cough a little bit when we did do a lot of driving around in the city. Next time I'm back, I'll remember to stow a face mask in my backpack for when I may need it, though its very uncomfortable for me.
I had very good thin crust pizza at a place inside Aegean Mall on the 4th or 5th floor. The name was "Pizzario" or Pizzallo or very similar to that. I went there twice and had a pesto ham pizza. Slightly pricey (I'm often surprised by how pricey it is to eat out in Kunming, compared to what I think the average income is there). About 83 RMB for a filling personal pan size.
In light of Trump starting a trade war, what is the average Chinese feelings about foreign restaurants like McDonalds, KFC, Starbucks? They seem to hire lots of Chinese including manager. Do you think there'll be a backlash against companies like McDonalds and Starbucks, and maybe Chinese will boycott these brands in favor of Chinese-born companies, like say they boycott KFC in favor of Dico's? Are they already doing that?
I need to get a tuning peg on an acoustic guitar replaced. I had no luck searching baidu my Chinese is inadequate. Anyone can send me links to any guitar or musical instrument shops websites.thanks!
