Forums > Living in Kunming > Work permit 2025

Doing my annual thing of renewing my work permit and RP. Because I am myself 50%+ of the administration in the company, I do the employer side stuff too.

When starting a new work permit application on employer side, there is now separate option for "foreign spouses of Chinese citizens". I have not seen this before.

I'm not using this (I can just renew my old application), but it might suggest eventual relaxation of employment rules for foreign spouses.

Forums > Living in Kunming > Yunnan Yukun in CSL

Yunnan Yukun is the local professional men's football (soccer) team based in Yuxi.

For the 2025 season starting on Feb 22, the team has been promoted to Chinese Super League, which is the top tier league in China.

Games will be streamed on QQ and sometimes other channels. Maybe Yunnan TV will pick it up later.

Forums > Food & Drink > Is this a new pizza chain?

I recently discovered "Italian Street Food" restaurant.

I don't know how long they have been around, but there are a few locations around the city.

They serve pizza and other Italian dishes, and I think there is a pizza buffet too.

Since this website serves foreigners (and locals) not just in Kunming but wider in Yunnan province, I wonder if something to reflect that could be arranged in regards of this PSB cooperation.

At least my personal observations of matters related to organized crime is not so much in Kunming, but outside it.

The first episode left a bit hasty picture. in my opinion in line with what Kunming is - a crossroads city to spend a day, max two, on way to other tourist sites in the province..

Personally I would have liked seeing more in depth stuff, not just the 2-3 highlights available on any travel guide.

But probably cannot do much more in few minutes show, and also why I don't epect much more from the coming episodes.

@vicar: "I know how to keep toilets clean"

In most public toilets in city (and beyond) that I have seen, they have a cleaning person stationed on the premises. I don't know know if they even go home for nights.

In many countries that alone would be considered a huge investment, but obviously not in China.
