I have lived in many chinese cities over the past 2 years. I am now a full-time resident of Kunming living close to the NE wal-mart on Beijing Lu. I have lived in one of the safest cities in the usa most of my life but i still have always felt safer here. I am a guest in this country so i keep my mouth shut, and have found that a smile is almost always received by a warm return smile. Regarding hatred in the USA we have street gangs, road rage, hate groups all over the place, the Klu Klux Klan, Traveling in canada many years ago i remember a great deal of hatred between the French Canadians and the rest of canada, and the UK had the IRA. Let us remember that with the Olympics in the UK this year the security was at an all time high. My deceased uncles who fought the japanese in the south pacific and had comrades spend part of war in japanese prison camps could never forgive the japanese. Please let us all be careful with the opinions we express so we can continue to live in this wonderful country.

Friend was given aerosol last year for bad bruise on leg and had allergic reaction to it. Ended up with bad rash and open sores. Doctor gave him something which was no help. Cleared up with hydrocortisone cream i gave him.

It would seem to make sense that your new high speed rail line would not open until the new station to serve it and others is ready for service. If memory serves me right the the high speed trains need different gates for boarding than standard trains. The trains board very quickly through numerous gates.

blobbles, i know raccoons can carry rabies, think high rate was something told to us as kids so we would stay clear of them. Just know that wild raccoons are not over friendly so if one approaches should probably leave alone or get away from it. Not sure if i have ever seen one in daytime. Very nocturnal.

problem with raccoons in america is they have a high rate of rabies so most people stay clear of them. I knew people who use to hunt them with specially trained coon dogs. Was told they were good eating.

Great western dinner at a reasonable price. The salad bar is a wonderful bonus if you order a dinner meal. I like to get their early just after 5, then salad bar is especially fresh and full of all the selections. Staff are my favorite in Kunming. They are friendly and attentive, but not over bearing. Give you menu and then give you time to make a selection.



Recently i wrote a review that after eating beef burritos at Salvadors i ended up with a bad stomach ache and the last time a case of severe diarrhea. It was commented later that maybe the sour cream was a factor, and that may be true. My only dairy is milk in my coffee and i have noticed i sometimes end up with a stomach ache after drinking 2-3 cups in the morning. I make my own sour cream for tacos i make at home and will have to pay more attention to how that affects me in the future.



Metro has many things i cannot find other places, but i still find it a frustrating place to shop sometimes. Seem to frequently be out of things. For example their was very little fresh meat to choose from and actually they were out of many things and i was their just after lunch. They had no loaves of toasting bread and could not tell my wife when they would be getting more in. In looking at the fresh date on Hormel ham it had expired in September. However for first time i was able to shop all the aisles. Not filled with merchandise to be stocked or fork lifts.



To all those expecting an authentic Irish Pub come on we are after all living in China. I have eaten there several times and the burger is still the best in Kunming in my opinion. Staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. Place is not perfect but what is in CHina. Owners have been wonderful in opening up early for special events like the US Super Bowl.



Went for Pizza special tonight. Had the Barbeque chicken and it was very good. Also enjoyed an exceptionally large order of French Fries. Everything was good tonight and owners where not there.
