"Plus you need a blank page for the visa. If you have less than 18 months validity on the passport then they will give you a visa only as long as the passport minus 6 months.
If the visa takes up your last blank page then travelling may be difficult if there is no space for entry/exit stamps."

"You'll need at least ONE blank page in your passport, so they can paste your visa in. But to exit - you'll need a blank square to stamp the exit stamp - which make 1.25 blank pages...so if you have less than 2 blank pages - best to level up."
I don't know what else do you want to know, the answer seems pretty clear to me, you have enough blank pages for 1, maybe 2 more visas before you definitely need to go to a consulate and pay USD82 to add more pages to your passport.
It would seem that since you keep emphasizing "Chinese government" requirements, the best people to ask are the "friendly and caring" civil servants at the immigration office and not GoK members. And since you enjoy going 100% full-blown native style, the experience should be very pleasant and memorable for you.
Enjoy! Ciao~
It expires in several years, and there are 3 "visa" pages left. Does anyone know the answer to my question? Several years is not very specific but here is your specific reply.
Go get more pages now!
If you leave the country, other than Cajun country in Katrinaville, you will also need a visa to visit another country. So you need 1 page for your visa in China, 1 page for another country visa and 1 page for entry and exit stamps.
So once again - go get more pages now. You should have done this in April when the consulate was here but you were too busy writing mixian threads.
HFCAMPO, thank you for that information, but my question is: "How many extra visa pages does the Chinese government require for a work visa"?
Also, mocking Hurricane Katrina, which killed many people and destroyed an entire city, is not funny.
The govt requires that the passport have at least 5 pages and must be valid for at least 6 months after the expiration of the latest visa. In other words - Go get more pages now!
HFCAMPO, thank you for finally answering the question.
Brilliantly funny and entertaining thread. More episodes please.
So guess where mm, tommann and crazy will be going next week. Thats right, to Chengdu to get more pages. Exactly what 10 other people said 7 months ago.
HFCAMPO, your obsession with me is flattering.
I think you should e-mail the consulate to see if they are coming soon like maybe next month. Could save some money. I know I did :-).
Seems like you guys also know each other in real life,
Why dont you just grap a cup of coffee or tea and talk things out other than exchanging hostilities on gokunming. Would be nice in future if the threads wouldnt always go off the topic ;-)
