The street I know of in that area is Yuangtong North Rd, the part that borders the Zoo.

Like geekrider said. Yuantong North Rd, for the zoo all the way down to 121 street.

Indeed Yuangtong North street. There where is connects with Yuanxi road is a big store that has all you can get including photographic equipment. The shops in 121 street are of a lower level of product quality and service.

There's a building called Bai Teng something near the KFC in Yuantong Nortjh Street. I usually get my parts there. It's probably the building you are mentioning.
