I've recently arrived in Kunming (Chenggong District at Yunnan Uni) and would like to hike and run trails in the mountains and hills around here.

Does anyone know of Hiking or trail running clubs that would be appropriate for a non-Chinese speaking newbie?

I faintly recall posts about a local branch of some leisure/beer type hiking group, but that was maybe 3+ years ago. I suppose if it was mainly foreigner-run, many have left since then.

Couldn't find the posts quickly, and forgot the name of the gathering.

Yes - I see some posts also about trail running many years ago. Given that those folks are not around any more - is anyone else interested in hiking or trail running?
