The 12th National Dance Exhibition

Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Yunnan Provincial People's Government, the Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Department of Culture of Yunnan Province, and the Kunming Municipal People's Government

The predecessor of the "National Dance Show" was the "National Dance Competition" founded in 1980. The National Dance Show is the highest-level dance performance in the country and is held every three years. The 12th National Dance Show was the first national dance art event held after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. It was also the first dance performance after the establishment of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
