Good move on the decision but too late. It will take decades to bring back the reputation unless the locals are truly innovative. Some of these rules are quite vague which encourages the usual officials to sell permits for favors Too late....

I'd like to single out the 7 or so families which control the tour boats in Dali's Er Hai lake.

They use an environmental protection law to erase all competition on the lake while they own large diesel powered tour boats on the same lake.

The same situation in Fu Xian lake.

Corruption breeds incompetence. Content with status quo, without competition and diversity any industry falls behind. Meanwhile, inside the corrupt bubble all is fine....

Went the other night, it was very late therefore I cant coment on the food but it did smell very good..
Cozy atmosphere and very friendly host.
Will return again now that it's found!
