Good answer! A tool for communication. In my 12 years in China I have picked up a lot of chinese from every day use but will never go to a school to learn it. Chinese people speak to me in broken english and I can understand them because we are not trying to build a rocket to the moon. In the same way, when I speak in broken chinese, I am understood and I can get what I want or go where I need to go.
I have travelled to every corner of Yunnan and I know it better than any local. I have been to villages in Yunnan where no one speaks a lick of Mandarin and my wife and friends have no idea what they are saying. The only one who can communicate with them is ME because I use my intellect to communicate, not language.
So unless someone is trying to be a translator and earn an income from translation it is a complete waste of time. For those that choose to do so, more power to them. However, in my lifetime, I have yet to meet an adult who can speak a second language as well as a native.
This forum is like the UN because there are people here from almost every corner of the world. The problem here is NEVER language, it is ALWAYS beliefs.
Heres another good job offer for students. Get a free room, dont worry about visa unless someone from this forum snitches on you, interact more with locals and probably get a few more students out of it.
The ad clearly says female so the pedophile police can take a break. Be careful not to use the word cute as that is clearly a sign that you are pedo.
Have not heard from Marcus in over 4 hours since he pulled a Roberto Duran and said - NO mas!
I guess this is more like tag team wrestling because Marcus left when BB came onto the ring.
I guess your chinese neighbours must really like you a lot. - Good sarcasm!
90% of my neighbors like me because their living space looks and feels better. They dont have to step on dog shit every time they walk outside and their kids can be safe without trash and broken glass.
The cleaning lady loves me and gives me vegetables from her garden.
The 10% of the remaining pigs who are the ones that dirty the area and disrespect their own chinese neighbors HATE me because I chew their ass when I see them litter and let their dogs shit in my area. I enjoy seeing them filled with hatred towards me and there is nothing they can do because the majority is on my side. They have no one to complain to because the leader of the residential quater has no complaints about anything I do.
This 10% is the immature group who have lost face because a laowai has come into their space and made them feel SHAME. I love to watch them bagua me and be consumed with hatred as the cancer grows inside of them. I can only wonder which type you are BB???
The new highway is nearly complete and the airport will open next year. Expect floods of people to go who never bothered to go before because of the 6-7 hour bus ride.
Another one bites the dust! Great, another member of the WTO, UN and USA. It is time for Laos to begin to follow all the rules set forth by the USA and UN. Got to protect the Individual Property Rights of the rich. Time to crack down on the illegal DVD vendors. No more downloading FREE music or videos. Time to roll in all the wonderful GMO crops.

Does someone have some REAL directions on how to get to the dam. Directions that include a point of origin, a route, a name of a road, a distance and so forth.
The new Visa office is located at 118 Tuo Dong Road. There is no number on the building yet so do not bother to look for it. There are 2 passport photo shops on either side of the building. The office is located directly in front of the Kunming Museum. The bus stop is named - Shi Bo Wu Guan - Bus 1, 62, 109, 117, 145, 213, A1 and K3 stop directly in front of the office. Foreigners need to go to the 3rd floor. The Tuo Dong Stadium is located to the right of the office while Baita Road is located to the left of the office.
