I am a late 30's professional intending to take a career break and study Mandarin in Kunming. I chose Kunming mainly due to its pleasant climate and location (please tell me I am correct).
My question pertains to finding some work while I am studying. I am a qualified accountant from the UK currently living in Australia and have many years of accounting knowledge but have specialised in implementing and maintaining financial systems software. My issue is that I never studied for a degree at a UK institution, I studied directly for my Accounting qualification through night school. My Accounting qualification is classified as the same level as a Masters (MSc) and is generally Internationally recognised. I would love to find some work that would keep me occupied, meet people and maybe assist my Mandarin but note things like teaching English require a degree.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
