Here's something for you guys to digest.....

"Most Chinese people think that Americans are honest, reliable, and righteous. But once you live in the country for a while, you may discover the descriptions above are a bit misleading. Today's topic, "The Dishonest Americans Series", does not refer to all Americans. We want to unveil some incidents and Americans we have encountered, so to provide a more objective picture of what the US and Americans are really like"......

What a sorry excuse for an investigative article. Pidgin English aside, the only "evidence" they present is fragments of an unnamed boarding pass. If someone is looking to make themselves feel better by making Americans look bad there are much easier ways.

Vice PM criticises the Chinese for bad behaviour abroad. A news article gets quickly released, shifting the blame of bad behaviour on foreigners. Everything gets back to the way it was. The balance is restored.

Instant noodles lunch in my honeymoon suite, anyone?

People who live in glass houses...

Chinese abroad behaving badly perhaps.

Usually when you dig deeper the customer has done something that they will deny, that has really pi**ed off the customer service dude. Usually this includes lying, of course a Ch would never do this ... I mean UA threaten to have just anybody just arrested, don't they? I would not be surprised if it was Mr Liu who tore up the boarding pass.

This article is typical of the kinda crazy, self righteous, feeling of entitlement BS that goes on here. The author is just trying to punish UA, like that is going to work. "...me think the lady doth protest too much."

Like the idiot who smashed up his Maserati with a sledge hammer, because he was unhappy with Mazzer's service. Hardly original as not the firts twerp to do this. From the outside looking in, you have to ask, 'who is the one with the problem here?'.

People say the Ch have no manners. I have seen lots of very polite people here, even polite drivers who consider other road users. None of them were Han though.

I find that most humans are jackasses, regardless of nationality.

Although we have the freedom of the press, and there are notions of freedom of speech, you could not print an article like that back home. Potentially libelous, but the legal system here is crap and so no point pursuing it.
I guess Mr Liu has a friend at the paper. I wonder if he said to UA, 'Do you know who I am?'.

Dazzer, there's clearly an anti-china bias in western media. Not to mention a bunch of other garbage that passes as news. So to suggest that you "could not print an article like that back home" is not true. They could, they can, and they do.

Never judge a person until u get to know him. I used to think American didn't value family as much as Chinese. I found I was wrong when I met my first American friend. What we have heard is not we have seen.

Dazzer's Quote "I have seen lots of very polite people here, even polite drivers who consider other road users. None of them were Han though."

I would agree to that...
