Haigeng Park no longer allows you to take your bike or ebike inside. They provide parking for bikes outside of the entrance. Cars are still allowed in.
Not sure when the policy changed, but it used to be fun to ride in and out of the park through a different entrance.
It makes no sense that they would allow cars but not bikes. They are both methods of transportation!
Did the bikers not buy a ticket in the past, perhaps? I imagine cars have to?
Annoying, but typical.
Many of the cars are going to the posh chow houses or the drive in movie place. Also the other cars probably pay to park. With a bike you only paid for yourself.
Having riden and driven through there myself, I can see the problem is that the cars, bikes, and pedestrians are not separated. Because many local cyclists follow a course like mice in a tunnel, there can be gridlock.
The best thing they could do is have a bigger set of car parks and make people walk. Like that is going to happen.
