Any recent changes on getting a Metro Card? Passport still good? I will post my results when/if I get a card.

A few months ago, I walked in and they gave me a "temporary" card for the single purchase. Upon the next visit, I filled in a paper, gave them a copy of my passport and they made me a card. So no problem at all to get a card.

Heres what happened today. Presented my passport and filled out an application. Used the application copy to make a purchase the same day. The card will be ready for pickup in 3 days.

You need a 1 yuan coin to get a shopping cart. You get your coin back after you return the shopping cart.
