49 here. I was surprised that some of the questions I was certain of got a "wrong" marker since I read through the study book yesterday. I looked up this one:

From the Chinacartimes test:

How should two vehicles meeting each other do when there is an obstacle on one side of the road?

The vehicle not influenced by the obstacle should let the other vehicle pass first

Whoever wants to passes first passes first

The vehicle influenced by the obstacle should let the other vehicle pass first

I dont know!

I answered 1 and got a Wrong, but this is what the Study Guide says:

1.2.1.41 If there is an obstacle on one side of a road where two vehicles cross each other,
________ should go first.
A. The vehicle that has no obstacle in front
B. The vehicle that has no conditions to yield
C. The vehicle that has obstacle in front
D. The faster vehicle

And "C" is the correct answer stated.

Secondly I checked out this one from the test:

The license plate and driving license must not be...

Must not be borrowed, lent, altered or forged

may be borrowed or lent temporarily upon the approval of relevant authority

May be borrowed or lent temporarily when necessary.

I dont know!

Obvious answer is 1 (the Study Guide agrees) but I still got a Wrong.

I didn't bother cross checking any other questions after that. Either the laws are stupid, the Guide is wrong or the test is bad. I'm thinking it's the latter.

I agree with Dan. It's a fun, but inaccurate online test. Even the opening introduction isn't quite right...

There are 100 questions, but chosen at random from a list of thousands. Just the same as for Chinese, as I understand it. I also don't recall seeing any "I don't know" options. What would be the point of that?

Yep, there are 1300 questions to learn.
But some are the same question written differently in different sections.

Other questions are grouped and so are easier to learn
e.g. What is the speed limit on [a type of road].
A: 30 kph
B: 40 kph
C: 50 kph
D: 70 kph
All 4 answers are used for different types of road.

Some others always have the same answer, for example on the spot fines for driving offences. Are always the same amount, if it is on the spot.

The road signs are a bit trickier.
For example, there is one sign for a crosswalk.
The question is 'What type of sign is this?'.
One of the answers is for a crosswalk.

However the correct answers is that it is an advisory sign. Why? because it is square.

I've postponed taking the test until now but when I called the place yesterday I was told I had to go there twice (as in two different days): One time to register and get the paperwork done, and another time for the actual test. This wasn't the info we got a month ago and neither what this thread says. Can anyone who's gone there recently confirm? It's a LONG way from where I live.

there are more than 1400 questions that the test takes 100 from at random, it is a stupid test, bad english and often the wrong answer is write,, hahahah! enjoy,, I have a copy of the questions and answers 80Mb file, If u want it no problem.. free..

They have a picture of a tunnel on a warning sign, they ask, is this a tunnel opening? Wrong!! the proper answer is a tunnel.

I took this test two years ago, and as stated here the test is difficult mainly due to poor English translation and also stupidity. Beware its a banana skin situation. All I can say is make sure you read the questions AND the answers very carefully.
