Visa agents in kunming

Does anyone know of any? And are there any that can deal with non-Chinese visas - eg Indian. India's now a just 2 hour flight away, but unless some kind of visa service exists, to get a visa you have to go to Hongkong first...

Hello delboy!

Do you have contact telephone number of the visa office on Beijing Road ? Is it the visa agent or government office? And how long does it take and how much we have to pay them for their service in applying Indian visa for us? Thank you and looking forward to your response.

It must be a visa agent - the only Indian Embassies/consulates in China are in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou & Hong Kong.

Hi onebir,

The visa place is a government building on Beijing Road called the Security Bureau.
Tel : 0871 301 7873
A visa extension costs 160 and takes 5 working days.
There is a large sign outside "Visa" to the west side of the bldg.
Good luck,
Delboy

The office on Beijing Lu only deals with Chinese visas.

In Kunming there are consular services available for Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Myanmar. Most good travel agents will sort out visas for these countries for a nominal charge (30kuai) plus the cost of the visa. Saves the hassle of going to look for the consulates and dealing with them.

For visas for other countries it would be sensible to ask a travel agent. If they're gonna sell tickets to India then there's a fairly good chance they'll know if it is possible or not to get a visa sorted out in KM.
