Get over it and meet other people. There are thousands of foreigners and even more Chinese in this city.

I study Chinese, spend time with my [Chinese] girlfriend, hang out with my Chinese friends, as well as friends at the school, go hiking, exploring, relax in coffee bars, spending time in parks. All the sorts of things that people do who haven't skim-read through 'How To Make Friends And Influence People 101'.

The difference is I choose to live / study here based on set criteria: relatively unpolluted, clean, temperate climate, with lots of stunning places within the province [Yunnan].

I'm not here for the unsophisticated nightlife (the only point where you and I agree upon is Kundu - if I hear Lady GaGa 'Pokerface' once more I'll scream), but to live in a relaxed, humane city. The fact that Kunming is filled with relatively attractive Chinese women, with long hair, hot-pants / short skirts and stunning legs is the icing on the cake, so to speak.

The thing is, I actually find you rather amusing. Your posts - and the
rebuttals - delivers! Your complete ignorance of the irony of 高兴 as a pseudonym, and your temper tantrums because the "douche-bags" at Salvadors (not to mention the Kunming women) will not provide you with an ounce of attention that you feel you deserve, is delicious - not to mention has provided me with much amusement.

Do you know what amuses me most, my dear 高兴？The fact that you're still HERE in Kunming, despite all of your protestations about how much you dislike living here - and, of course, all of the "douche bags" who live here (yet whose attention you clamour).

I think the fact that so many people have replied to gaoxing's miserable, insipid, lame, moronic, and whining post with constructive criticism is indicative of the generosity of most of the people who live here, a major reason why I've called Kunming home for close to four years now.

Get your s*it together man. There are plenty of ways to get happy. And if that doesn't work, there are plenty of other places to try.
