quarantine for N1H1?

Does anyone know if international travellers are being quarantined upon flying into Kunming these days? I'll have some guests visiting from the US, and Kunming will be their first stop in China. I'm not sure what kind of treatment they can expect once arriving at the airport.

They usually don't get quarantined unless they have a fever when they land. Customs will check every passengers body temperature upon arrival. If they do have a fever, they might be quarantined until they've done a medical check.

We arrived about 10 days ago, and were delayed in the plane for a few minutes while officials 'checked our temperatures'... we saw 2 men roaming the cabin, then they left. No obvious checking goiing on. There was a heat scanner thing on exit, just before immigration, but quite unobtrusive really.

If you arrive with fever you more then likely will be taken into quarantine for a week (and this in a pretty well equiped special hospital for infectious diseases a bit out of Kunming with apparently a great and very professional staff ...and tons of food). If you happen to fly in on a flight while been sitting close to a H1N1 positive person you get picked up pretty fast also (together with everybody else who has been sitting close to that H1N1 positive person)...so yes depends pretty much on you or the persons close to you during the flight inbound. Good luck!
