I'm moving to Kunming in exactly one month, and I'm unsure whether or not I should bring any of my climbing gear. I just started to get into climbing, and would like to continue doing it while I'm in China. Also, I was wondering if there is any climbing gyms in Kunming? If there's not a big climbing scene, I'll be fine, as long as I can find some sort of outdoor recreation. I'm from Utah, so growing up I've being surrounded by nature, so it would be great if I could continue being active outdoors.

If you have a rack of cams it might also be good to bring. About 2 to 3 hours west-northwest of Lijiang is an area called Liming with great sandstone crack climbing.
