Is it possible to get a USB stick for my laptop which will give me mobile 4G internet? Anyone got this before and have any recommendations? Cheers.

You can get a thing about the size of a cigarette packet, with a cable that plugs into your USB port.

If you have a 4G smart phone,I think the best way is to use the "personal hotspot" function.

Go to China mobile and get a 4G Wireless box. It fits in your hand and can be used in and out of Yunnan Province.

Price is around 500rmb for 6 months service and the box. Can't remember the limit but as long as you're not watching movies you'll be fine.

I used it with a China Unicom dongle. Worked best when plugged into charger or computer, ie, fully charged.

i got one of those free and posted to me here when i signed up for astor ill weepy end last year. have a look on the aster ill website to see if the offer still on. the weepy end is then in the router and creates a more accessible network.
