Has anyone heard of the Confucian temple 文庙 and 武庙 of a Zoucheng township 州铖镇 in Binchuan County 宾川县.
I know there is Zhoucheng 周城 north of Dali, but I'm look for info about the Zhoucheng 州铖镇 in Binchuan.
Has anyone been there?
Thanks for your help.

Yes, I have been there - Go to Zhou Cheng and there are 4 places to visit.
1 - Wen Miao - Confucian Temple
2 - Nan Xun Bridge
3 - Zhong Gu Lou
4 - Bai Yang Village
I was there in June 2013 and the temple was under renovation - I am sure they are completed or near completion by now. Let me know if you want to see some pictures.
You must pass Chicken Foot Mountain in order to get there. Ji Zu Mountain is 1 of the 4 Sacred Buddhists Mountains of Yunnan.
There are 14 Historical + Cultural Sites in Dali so this can be the beginning of your quest for the remaining 12 locations. I am sure you have been to a few others before but perhaps you were not aware of it.
6. Bai Yang Village - 白羊村遗址 - Binchuan – Dali
7. Confucian Temple - 州城文庙和武庙 - Zhou Cheng - Binchuan – Dali
Thank you for your answer HFCampo.
Do you know if there are buses from Xiaguan to Binchuan? Where should I take the bus?
Have you heard of these two villages
祥云县禾甸镇大营庄村 and 祥云县禾甸镇旧邑村?
There are on the 中国传统村落推荐名单... was wondering if they were worth a visit?
祥云县禾甸镇大营庄村 - Da Ying Zhuang Village, He Dian Town
祥云县禾甸镇旧邑村 - Jiu Yi Village, He Dian Town - I have not been to or ever heard of these 2 villages before. These villages are NOT on any of the lists for protected villages and towns in Yunnan.

On the highway between Dali and Kunming you will pass the toll gate for both Binchuan and Xiang Yun (Same toll gate for both).
I went to Zhou Cheng from Xiang Yun, not from Dali because Xiang Yun also has many good places to see including the Xiang Yun Old Town, Shui Mu Mountain, and Yunnan Yi which has the Burma Road Monument and the Tea Horse Road Museum. XiangYun is also 20 minutes away from Midu which has some places to visit.
There are 2 buses to Binchuan from Dali. A small bus (18 seats) which takes the old back Road which has been resurfaced recently and is a very nice drive. I always buy seat #18 so I can sit next to the driver and avoid the smokers and also gives me a great view and I can take pictures along the way.
The other is a bus that takes the highway. I have been to Binchuan via both ways but a few years ago. My most recent trip to Binchuan was via Xiang Yun in 2013.
Let me know where you got those 2 village names from, I will have my wife look into it.
Thanks for all the precious info HFCampo.
Concerning these two villages in 祥云县禾甸镇, I found them on the list of 中国传统村落推荐名单 on Baidu : here is the link.
I took a look at the list - many of the villages are on the Historical Towns and Villages List of Yunnan.
it really is a long and complete list and separated by province.
