You are Correct faraday, I do NOT teach english. I tried that when I first came to China but most people are not really interested in learning. English is still a status symbol and many people do it to either kill time or to just pass a test, 2 things I do not condone.
When I was teaching IELTS I quickly doscovered that 75% of the students in the class either quit middle or high school to learn english and go abroad or never took or failed the Gao Kao. Losers with money! I did find a small % where outstanding students and were there to truly learn - Real Heroes - but they were so few and far between that it was not worth putting up with the losers. I teach Learning and behavior Modification for FREE to a select few. This includes Assertive Communication, this is why I reply on this thread because most chinese use Passive Aggresive Communication.
