I would be willing to spend a bit more for a dog that I know is healthy and fed well and up to date on shots. My problem is not knowing where to get a dog other than the dog markets. I don't trust those places and the poor dogs look miserable. I am also not willing to pay a high price for a dog from those markets. If I could find a dog breeder that would be great. I highly value having a dog and would treat him well. I also think that around $100 USD is not that cheap for a dog.

where is the animal shelter? I just can't bring myself to spend so much money on a puppy from the dog markets. Really, who can pay so much? does the animal shelter sell dogs or give them away?

I've browsed the dog markets and find all the dogs ridiculously overpriced. 4000 for a chihuahua!? Is there a better place to buy a dog that is affordable. Less than 500rmb? also, where do you go for shots and all that?
