@vicar I paid 1000 kuai in total. The surgery that I opted against was 20k... I've gotten feedback from two western medical field people, one a surgeon, and one an MRI/radiologist with over 20 years XP. I'll probably shell out around 1000 more before this is over for a new cast, x rays, and doctor visits.
And I have insurance through my school so I should get about half of what I paid back.

@Stratocaster no, 20,000 was for surgery. From having asked my friend's dad in the US, and from my research online, appears surgery really isn't usually necessary for this fracture. I've got a friend from the US visiting in a couple weeks so I'll get a second opinion from someone when we visit Thailand.

Great beer selection, run by friendly people, and oh my gah the menu tho. Hartford pizza is where it's at. Go to place for IPAs, pizza, pasta dishes, and giant fresh salads. Honestly you can't lose here.
The last two things I've eaten here are so good. Giant slice of lasagna and some delightfully crispy on top macaroni and cheese. Miles above other KM offerings.
I had two to four secret bites of their thanksgiving feast and was sad I didn't spend it here. Seriously. They're not American but neither are most of the people in KM who hosted a dinner. It was clear that they put so much effort into it and it was truly delicious and worth every kuai. My friends decided that they wanted to do Thanksgiving elsewhere so I went along but after ending the night at Barfly, I wished we'd done it there. Seriously delicious and a wonderfully kind effort, especially considering the holiday is essentially meaningless to them. Super intimate environment too.
I hope they do it again next year. I'll def show up for it then. Love to you guys <3
